[review[ month of Apr 2016 summary

Back ground
Trying out a new format that converts all my action for the week into a summary, then having to explain it in subsequent paragraphs, this allows easy reading.

Current Status:
Total assets 87k
In equities; 48k
In cash: 39k

as you can see i'm just $13k away from my target of $100K asset in age of 30!

Summary of Stocks Activities:
1. Transaction on MIDAS: Loss of Transaction fee
2. Transaction on Accordia Golf Trust: Holding long
3. Transaction on Japfa: still holding

4. Observing HPH trust: Exited, regretted but on after thoughts not that bad
Observing Keppel Corp: still observing

Previous watchlist: Starhub, Keppel Corp==> no action

Interesting notes: I will be coming up with a checklist for my stocks scanning, shortlisting and review process. this is to reduce my "emotional" trades. the few that i executed this month ( Midas)

Elaboration
1. Midas:
Enter price at 27.5c on 18Apr16. intent was for a short term trade, eyeing for 10% upside before exiting. however i exited on 20Apr16. initially it was increasing, up to 28.5c, was in the money with $200+ profit, but i panicked when i saw the price fall to 27c and imeediately queued to exit at 27.5c.

Lesson learnt: fluctuation is expected, should look at the indicators ( technical) and follow a trading/investment plan
2. Accordia:
enter price of 59.5c then another dose at 60.5c. total at more than 10K of funds in Accordia golf trust. the plan was an re-entry after my panic selling early the month, the aim this time round is to accumulate as much as possible. As there are capital gains and and potentially this year higher DPU.
Likely to dump before the XD and then re-enter at a lower price getting the Div in cash quickly.

Lesson learnt: the re-entry was definitely timing and considered well-timed. will be holding the shares for some time till it becomes over priced then sell off to realise profits.

3. Japfa:
Japfa was entered at a price of 69.5c at the recommendation of a friend who trades.i saw it as an opportunity to catch a upride have have a 1-2 month horizon for this counter. SL at 66c( approx 5%) and TP at 77c ( approx 10%)

4. HPH Trust:
HPH trust is interesting, because I shared earlier that i regretted letting go HPH trust at 59.5c foregoing the 500USD profits. and then shortly after that this particular counter dropped 5c in a day to lose 9%. Currently it is priced at 44.5c, even lower price then when i purchased the first dose, somehow feeling at ease. this counter has changed fundamentally, reduced DPU as it works to repay a large amount of debt used to fund their acquisition. The current indicators of SMA5,10,20 all lead to a down trend at least for the short term 5-10 days, the long term SMA 50,200 also points to general down trend. as an investment probably not touch it any more on contrary to my earlier belief of buy and forget, but would consider this counter for short-term 1-2 weeks type of trading when i see a uptrend.
