Foreword
similar to the last few weeks there was hardly any activity besides monitoring because really, either i am not earnest enough to seek new opportunities or there isnt a good enough opportunity that presents itself to me ( i think i am repeating). However, I've identified some companies which i have wanted to buy in a stake and hold for capital appreciation & receive an okay dividend while i wait.
While i do my due diligence, i will do some commentary on my current holdings.
Counter Activities
Banyan Tree Holdings. Speculative holdings, that my friend shared with me "before the traders discovered it". you can see that in recent times the volume has picked up ( traders' interest) and that the bearish days are with low volume, while bullish days are matched with good volume. *hope and pray* new week looks likely to have some good up movement to follow through this week's good movement.
Golden Energy. Speculative play. TA wise, the trend in the short term is bullish as price is above 50ma, the consolidating phase also shows decreasing volumes, and now with the break in countertrend, the bullish volume is strong. staying on for the ride.

Golden Agri-res. Growth asset. palm oil is not doing too well, however it is because of this, that's why i can pick up GAR cheaply and hold it. So should there be a rally, i would have captured the initial gains, and able to scaleup to considerable amounts, because i would have a psychological edge due to the gains already in. TA wise, it is ranging right now, with the major MAs converging.... So just waiting for the big move.

Chip Eng Seng. Income assets. I wanted to add onto this counter, however as the price suddenly spike upwards, i didn't. Instead of a problem, i thought of it as an opportunity to trade around this holding with a psychological edge, since i am up nearly 10% on this counter. Stay-tuned when i act on it ;)
Anyway the story for this counter is that it is a counter that gives a stable dividend of 4c a year ( currently a yield of 5+%) and that it is priced below NAV. so there is some room to grow while i collect this attractive dividend. so might as well

Global Inv. Income assets. pretty much like a fund that invest in a wide range of things, just that they are not very open with what they are investing in (the details). The firm announced a reduction in dividend, so that will take the div yield lower. now i look into their financials, and realised that they have been earning less than the dividends they are giving out.... perhaps this is one of the bad decisions i made.......

Maple Tree GCC trust. Income asset. positive on this counter as it seems to be moving towards 52weeks high with a breakout!
As mentioned before, this counter owns malls in high density HK and shanghai, and with small & expensive apartments, the residents spend more time out of their homes and in malls, "living" their lives. fundamentals in tact, HK economy seems okay, just that in the ultra long term, where HK loses her attraction to become a 2-tier chinese city, then perhaps it is time to exit, otherwise just collect the rich dividends.

Suntec REIT. Income asset. this is one of the bigger reits in singapore, with exposure to office and retail. Yield wise it is alright, and DPU has been stable despite other retail counters taking a hit. Bought because it was uptrending, however with the price below 50ma now.... i will wait to see if it returns above or is a reversal in trend where i will exit
