[weekly summary] 2017 w38

Foreword
Similar to the past week, i didn't had any transactions simply because opportunity did not present itself to me. Though the portfolio value fluctuate quite a fair bit ( -/+ 500 to 600) out of the 50+K i am vested in equities, the majority of it is vested in income assets ( mapletree GCC, Global inv, suntec reit, chip eng seng) so unless there is a huge surge in price that pays for 7 or 8 years of dividends  then i do not see a reason to realize this profit to rotate into another counter.

Active counters
Chip Eng Seng. One fo my income counters, initially i was toying with the idea of adding on this counter prior to the announcement of dividends, but this huge spike has made me reconsidered adding more since the yield is not as attractive and the upside is reduced.

Mapletree GCC. I shared before how the HK people live in small housing spaces and spend their awake time outside of their homes in malls/shops contributing to their lively city. The hongkongers are also more willing to spend on consumption goods, because a residential property just cost way too much to be affortdable by many! hence i am holding onto this counter tightly for its cash cow properties :) currently it started moving up again, so i might try to add some more in addition to my existing position.

Global Investments. i adjusted my SL to account for the XD of 0.65c which pushes it down to 14c or so. right now the counter has hit a support of sorts and i will be monitoring it to accumulate once the price movement breaks the current bearish countertrend.

Watchlist. I've not done a watch list for awhile, but anyway i am looking the following:

Dividends
SATS
SINGTEL
ST engineering

Cap gain
China aviation
Jardine C&C

I will need to do some due diligence and assess the outlook of the business then enter on a TA set-up. Happy sunday!
