[weekly review] 2017 w26

Foreword
Despite wanting to do a follow-on on post of my earlier post of my top losers ( see here) and write a review of my top 5 winners, I have been very busy at work as there are many deadlines. and because of the busy-ness, i decided to do further cut off on my speculative counters as i cannot look at those counters long enough.. i will probably be reducing speculative trade entries due to the lack of time. while for my blog weekly reviews will focus on monitoring the growth and speculative counters and also those actions i took, write down why i did so.

on my to do list are : review of top winners; plotting of assets over time.

Counters- Action

Bestworld. sold it because i have been waiting a bit too long for this to move up and there seems to be a price rejection candlestick when you look at the weekly candle. this was suppose to be a speculative trade, so it has been invalidated when it took too long to break further highs, i guess it is just ranging again..

Far east orchard. Bought.FA-wise, because of the steep discount price is x0.5 NAV. with a div of ~3.8% . I can collect respectable divs while waiting for the price to appreciate.

TA wise, in starting of a uptrend. there are some unusual bullish volume too.

For Speculative - (TA100) 20/50ma pure technicals with setup ( trend/ breakout/reversal)- exit when price cuts down 20ma ( added this because i need to remind myself of the exit strategy and not confuse speculative with growth counters)

GAR. 50ma and 300ma are converging, price just started to peek above 50ma, if sustainable, possible for it to breakout above 200ma and become a uptrend.

For Growth/Value -(TA50/FA50)50 & 200ma, macro-outlook, set-up for entry, needs a narrative (e.g. semiconductor stock run/ properties bottom out, fantastic outlook), tend towards 0.6-1.2x NAV

China Aviation. FA-wise,air travel in china set to increase and with increase in air travel, demand for fuel will increase.
TA-wise, build-up before a breakout, weak bearish volumes, and moving averages catching up with prices.
