Thoughts
If you read my post on thoughts, always busy lately... luckily my cumulative risks maxxed out, so could not enter anymore trades based on this. I have been mulling over whether to increase my cumulative risk for trades in anticipation of a resumption of uptrend, or maintain it until it really happens. And retrospectively looking at it, i am glad that i err on the conservative side. So just to put it down in plain words ( i will subsequently pen it down on a actual update post on my trading strategy): i) Uptrend market i will trade 1.5X cumulative risk at normal risk per trade; ii) accumulating market i will trade 1X cumulative risks at reduce risks per trade; iii) down trend markets, i will trade 0.5X cumulative risks with reduced risk per trade; iv) distribution trend, i will trade 1X cumulative risks, at normal risk per trade (since i would not know it then). and right now, while i hope it is reversal into bullish, it could likely be a sideway range trading market.....

Fu Yu(200). Shifting the SL by a bit, currently uptrend in tact, price is consolidating. will be holding this counter.
Jardine C&C(400). I put the daily chart, then the weekly chart. Did it made it clearer for you? Uptrend is still on track, it will be a slow but steady climb upwards. The immediate resistance is going to be thick, but lets sit tight and wait for it to climb up!
Sunningdale Tech(350). suspecting a suspicious volume will come soon this or next week, with a bigger bodied candlestick. Right now consolidating in an uptrend! So i am holding!
Thaibev(350). I spoke about this "wrong" trade i made because i didnt del this from my watchlist... and during my random scans(here), i saw that it broke the blue line so i entered and risked 350$ for this!!!! anyway, there was a breakout and subsequently a drop in price on XD with some good volume. Not profitable, but might as well just stick to the trade plan... I am half suspecting this as a "classic" BB play... price breaks higher before a sharp sharp larger than div drop on XD. what do you say?
Wilmar(350). Break out from 1 yr of range trading.... and right now retesting the previous resistance turned support. with a deep SL, i am in for the ride! holding onto this, unless it breaks the support and stays there! but i personally think it is unlikely.
Ying Li(350). Price breakout of consolidation on last friday with a big bodied candlestick and convincing volume. Hopefully the bullish momentum continues on monday. The counter is uptrending right now, and there is some golden cross that happened lately... so if STI bullish plus all these awesomeness, it could win this BIGLY!

Olam (14%). entered on 3rd week of 2019 as an income investment with element of growth. The thinking behind it is documented here. I wanted to enjoy good dividends as i wait for capital appreciation.
The idea is for entry:
- Good sustainable Dividend of ~4%
- Better cashflow than its peers
- No foreseeable technology disrupting its business
Exit will be when:
- Dividend cannot be sustained due to negative news
- cashflow drops below its peers
- Creditable disruption to its business appears.
DBS (23%). entered on 2nd week of 2019 as income investment with element of growth. The thinking behind initiating a position is documented here & here. I wanted to enjoy good dividends while i waited for capital gains to be realised.
Entry was because of:
- Management. Comparatively better management than the other banks, proactively absorbing technology to avoid disruption.
- Attractive dividend yield (5%, $1.2) that is sustainable.
- No foreseeable disruptive technology in sight.
- when dividend cannot be sustained above 2.6%
- Foreseeable disruptive technology to its business spotted
