[weekend review] 2018 w34 - Savings optimization completed

Thoughts

Been super busy with this new work place, but the fact that i am a trusted worker makes a big difference! On my trading system, i have been scanning almost every week, and eyeing only those positions with a setup (systematic trading method). need to work on my investing aspect, since STI is sideways/bearish looking these days.

Savings Optimization 

UOB. Relationship terminated after a negative experience. likely to divert $$$ to SSB.

DBS. Card, multiplier & brokerage all in!

CIMB. up and running!

I need to cull some accounts to avoid "forgetting" any money.
would consider liquid savings optimization completed.

reflecting on my experience.. for those who want to optimize their savings too.. they should:

• start earlier in the month. so you can enact the admin changes, reducing the period of  not earning better interest.
• not count your eggs too early. as seen in my UOB experience where they ask me to go down to the branch after i apply online......making me annoyed and cancelling the application. while seems like i lost the opportunity to "earn interest" i realigned quickly and divert towards SSB.

Transactions

ShengSiong. Entered as per my stock scan (here). This is a uptrend/breakout play, so full risk on. I don't know if i will be able to add more(scale-up), but will try to ride this trend where possible.

SPH. Entered as per my stock scan (here). Reversal play, so half my normal risks. most of the fundamental risk has since been priced in. though CEO, Ng Yat Chung (SAF general) has some negative connotation... Their corp action is viewed positively and yielding some results as revenue from their digital media increase... and they pivot towards other more "recession proof" biz.... Sustainable dividend policy... let's see if other investors view this in the same light, and buy in more to help me up the price😁

Holdings

CSE Global. actually, it is almost as if i have forgotten about this counter. Looks like it is trading sideways... should liquidate this soon (next week)

Delong. Going good, with a consolidation whole of last week. Holding onto this counter... need to keep the stoploss loose .. based on history of this volatile counter.
