Holding Sheng Shiong OV8  (88c)  & Thaibev Y92 (91c)

currently holding my threshold of 3 trading position, might cut out of less promising position.

Thoughts of the week

Need to sharpen my technique in detecting a  bullish breakout, so improve my winning rate. I do not doubt the counters i've bought are definitely fundamentally good counters, but waiting more than 1 month while the counter consolidates is not doing my ROI good. as i am aiming a 20% ROI for my trading portfolio

Elaboration

Boustead hit 81c, late in the afternoon triggering a buy in on the basis of a bullish break up, as it has been on the consolidation for some time already. it subsequently rode up to 81.5c before returning to 80c (opening price). As mentioned earlier, trader me has evolved to buying on bullish breakouts to maximise returns and minimise risk. prior to this, i actually sounded out my NS friend YL, Boustead has been consolidating for some time (approx 2 months) and the SMA 5,10,20 are very tight grouping. Based on the silent accumulation that has taken place, it seems like a breakout waiting to occur and to ride up. will hold and see how it pans out over the next week. my SL is at 79c, or after holding for 3 weeks,

ThaiBev has returned to the price i bought it over what i thought was a break out, only to be just a fake signal. Looking at the MACD and the tight SMA5,10,20 grouping together with accumulation over 1 plus  month, it looks ripe for a bullish breakout, looking forward to next week's move.

Sheng Shiong has joined the yield portfolio of KimEng, and has been hovering around. Though the SMAs are cuttng upwards and the MACD is turning up (seems weak), however there is high sell volume in recent times, i'm closely looking at it, because it seems highly likely that it will break the 90c mark, but might not be sustained. Should divert my money to other more profitable trades after holding on for some time already, or convert it into a long term investment.
