[weekly review] ww10 2018 - small small positions left.

Thoughts

If i were to talk about my thoughts, i will whine about my "stable job" that does not give me any job satisfaction or a career. So instead, i am channeling my energies into finding jobs... I give myself a KPI to apply 1 job every night. I figured out, the faster i cut loss from this illiquid counter, the faster i can be re-deployed and grow! wish me all the best!

Transactions
Creative. Sold all holding. I scaled up this position when i had profits of nearly $5K, when the price broke my trailing stop loss, I exited.

UMS. Bought for Cap gain, on technical breakout. TA wise, price build-up around the 1.15 region for some time.... and when price convincingly broke out, it compelled me to make a sized entry based on a SL of $1.10. Quantitatively, UMS is trading at P/E of ~11 going to P/E of ~15 would give a price of around $1.50.  FA-wise, i understand that the chinese have been ramping up advanced semiconductor chips to reduce reliance on imports (source: here). AMAT is one of the big players that stand to benefit from this chinese push, and they are supplied by UMS. while China can make equipment, it will take a while for that to happen, while it is easier to just buy the high-margin capital goods off the market instead of spending many years trying to break into a high barrier of entry market. Based on a bullish market outlook for the semiconductors industry, UMS is likely to continue to huat and give out attractive dividends that will further attract investors.

I had initially planned some entries, so once triggered, could just enter.

Holdings
Heeton. bought for the cup and handle pattern, seems like it is taking some time to play out, I am contemplating to exit this position by end of March should there be more positive movement to re-deploy my resources, or just to regain liquidity.

UOL. Bought during the CNY period for capital appreciation, when price touched the 200MA (see here), last week price broke out of the consolidation. seems like price will break the 50MA, and head to $9.5. FA-wise, there were a series of good news, though price had not risen as fast. So at least i don't think there will be much down side, and even if there is... Just cut loss and exit position.

AEM. Holding less than 10K of shares, but have a relatively handsome profit on this, the strategy of scaling up on set-ups have been doing well for me. currently plotting another another entry. my average price is less than $5 my buffer is quite large... hopefully the split of shares will come quickly, the increase liquidity will boost prices with more speculators coming in.
